Einstein's Department of Transplantation is proud to honor Beth Meder, RN, BSN, with the Great Employee of the Month (GEM) Award!
Beth is our pre-liver transplant coordinator in the Department of Transplantation. She was nominated for the GEM Award by two co-workers, because she is always going above and beyond for our patients.
For one patient in particular, that was certainly true. Beth—along with some of our other dedicated nurses—helped this patient find an apartment. But they also went a step further and had their own family and friends donate furniture and clothing for the patient.
She takes time to have lunch with her patients, and helps to show the support and dedication they need to live a healthy lifestyle after liver transplant.
“Beth's skills as an expert nurse and transplant coordinator are complemented by the exemplary compassion which she shows towards her patients and co-workers,” said Victor Navarro, MD, Co-chair, Department of Transplantation, Division of Hepatology.
Beth truly embodies being "More than Medicine" and exceeds expectations on a regular basis.
