The latest developments in the management of liver disease were presented at a Continuing Medical Education conference sponsored by Einstein Healthcare Network on Saturday, December 3. A record number of participants reviewed research and treatment advances, originally reported in November at The Liver Meeting®, an annual conference presented by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).
The Einstein conference attracted more than 175 practitioners from the tri-state area—ranging from gastroenterologists, hepatologists and surgeons to non-physician clinicians and nurses—involved in the care of patients with liver disease. Participants were greeted by Barry R. Freedman, Einstein President and CEO; Victor J. Navarro, MD, Co-Chair, Department of Transplantation; and Simona Rossi, MD, Associate Chair, Division of Hepatology. The symposium provided a course overview, nine faculty presentations, and interactive question-and-answer sessions.
